Ash Wednesday

Our Ash Wednesday Masses marked the start of the season of Lent today in a special way and it was lovely to have parents joining us. Our Pre-Primary pupils spent time with Mrs Smith and Br Peter in the Chapel to grow in understanding of this meaningful day.

How we build long-term success

How We Set Your Child Up for Long-Term Success

When we sit with your child in our admission interview sessions, one question comes up often: how do we set your child up for long-term success? It starts with building the skills that make good decisions possible.

Your child’s future is shaped by the skills they practise daily. Through active discussion, purposeful collaboration, and the smart use of technology, your child learns how to think clearly, ask better questions, and evaluate information with confidence.

Those critical thinking skills are strengthened from one phase to the next, so your child is not only prepared for exams, but prepared for choices: subject choices, tertiary choices, and the many life choices that sit beyond school.

When your child learns how to think, not just what to remember, your child is better equipped to step into tertiary education and ultimately into work with confidence and direction.

That is what lasting success looks like: strong thinking, good judgement, and the ability to keep learning.

Valentine’s Day

By School News

Happy Valentine’s Day from all of us at St Joseph’s Marist College.

Today is a reminder that love shows up in the small things: kindness in the classroom, friendship on the playground, and care in the way we look out for one another. Wishing our pupils, families, staff, and wider community a day filled with love, joy, and peace.
